Virginia

ACC · 2026 season

The story so far

Virginia fans opened the season euphoric and dreaming of an ACC title, then watched those hopes sour into calls to fire Tony Elliott and bench Beau Pribula. At 4-5 after a 7-51 loss at Wake, misery hit 100 and many fans have checked out.

  • Early jokes about a 'football terrorist' amid praise turned into sustained demands for his firing after FSU, peaking at Wake with fans saying he must go this year while doubting the administration will act.

“11 pass attempts all game, fewest in a UVA game since 1996. A 23 play drive. Tony Elliott is a football terrorist.”
