College Football · Week 4 · Sep 21–27
Virginia
W 42-3 vs Delaware · Sat, Sep 26 · 3-1 overall
What happened
Virginia spent Saturday doing exactly what a 3-1 team is supposed to do against Delaware, winning 42-3 and letting the scoreboard operator get some cardio. The turning point came early, when it became clear this would not be a repeat of the WVU trip, and the fanbase exhaled accordingly. One supporter called it "a nice warm blanket after last week," which is about the right temperature. Another had already moved on: "Still a good rebound from WVU last week. On to FSU!" Comfort has a short shelf life.
