Texas A&M

SEC · 2026 season

The story so far

Texas A&M fans spent the season fixated on Marcel Reed, swinging from early optimism to steady calls to bench him for Brady Hart as the losses piled up. At 4-4 after falling at Alabama, they consider the season over and want Elko to play the young guys.

Season-long
  • Early praise for Reed's deep balls gave way to weekly demands for Hart as inaccuracy, interceptions and Elko's refusal to switch turned him into the season's central grievance.

“This game was not as close as the final score shows. Kentucky flat out dominated us especially in the 3rd quarter. When our defense wasn’t giving up 7 yards per carry, they were allowing 20 yards on a play action pass. Just absolutely 0 discipline. What about the offense that hasn’t been said already? They were as inconsistent as ever, and once again Marcel Reed proved he’s just not the guy and will never be the guy. Last season was really a miracle, I’ll just be happy with an 8-4 season at this point. GGs Kentucky, you guys played a great game.”
