Hope showed up in Tuscaloosa, died by the fourth quarter, and now even the water boy is taking blame.
The emotional rollercoaster
Texas A&M fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Tuscaloosa took the last of it. A&M fell 20-31 at Alabama, and the Aggies walked out of the week at 4-4, a record that reads exactly like the season has felt: half of something, all of nothing. The turning point was the trip itself, a chance to prove the first month meant something, spent instead confirming it didn't. Misery jumped from 57 to 93. One fan wanted to "fire the water boy at this point." Another just said the hope was the cruel part.
