Fans hammered Sheppard through Week 4 as the defense collapsed, saw it tighten against Arizona with lingering doubts, then celebrated Brian Branch's return as the defense finally won a game in Week 7.
“What a welcome back for Branch. Defense (and Bates) won us this game, which is new.”
