What happened
The defense surrendered explosive plays on a loop — D.Jones hitting A.Pierce for 48, T.Warren for 29, and J.Taylor breaking a 23-yard touchdown run before the first quarter ended. By the time J.Herbert's pass intended for O.Gadsden was picked off by G.Stewart in the second, the math was already grim. Fans are torching jerseys and counting the years since 2006, and the question of who actually protects Herbert remains unanswered.
