What happened
J.Herbert carved up the short middle all afternoon — finding O.Gadsden, K.Allen, and L.McConkey on the opening drive script — and the defense made C.Wentz miserable from the J.Eboigbe sack onward. The J.Metellus interception in the third was the lone blemish on an otherwise clinical 37-10. The real question now isn't whether this was real, but whether the backfield rotation fans suddenly want to build around can hold up once a defense actually shows up.
