What happened
Two J.Herbert interceptions returned inside the LAC 3 — D.Lawrence in the first quarter, A.Phillips in the third — handed New York a short field twice, and an 0-3 Giants team did not need a third invitation. O.Hampton's 54-yard touchdown run and a late 29-yard burst hinted at what this offense could be if it weren't tripping over itself, but B.Burns closing a fourth-quarter drive with a 16-yard sack felt like the whole afternoon in one play. Losing this way to this opponent is the part that lingers.
