The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.
What happened
J.Herbert's 60-yard strike to Q.Johnston cracked the game open in the second quarter, and from there the defense did the rest — K.Mack living in the backfield, D.Henley and D.Jackson each picking off G.Smith at critical moments. Still, 20 points against the Raiders isn't the kind of offensive showing that quiets anyone long-term. The defense looked legitimately dominant; whether the offense can carry its own weight against a real opponent remains the open question.
