The monkey is off the back: J.Herbert's strikes to Q.Johnston and K.Allen built the lead, and the defense held when P.Mahomes hit T.Kelce for 37 and M.Brown for 49 in the fourth, then forced an incomplete two-point try to N.Gray that quietly decided the game. The fanbase is allowed one loud night. The lingering question is whether those two explosives off Mahomes get cleaned up, or whether this defense just bends like that every week.
