What happened
C.Stroud hit J.Higgins for 75 and J.Noel for 43 inside the first five minutes, and somehow the Chargers still had a chance — Q.Johnston's 60-yard catch set up first-and-goal before J.Herbert's pass found A.Al-Shaair at the 1 instead. O.Hampton's late touchdown made the math close, never the outcome. A home crowd that showed up in Chargers colors watched a team Charger itself in the most familiar way possible.
