What happened
The T.Lance pick-six to J.McMillian on the opening drive set the tone, and the N.Bonitto strip-sack in the fourth confirmed it — backup quarterback play looked exactly like backup quarterback play. The silver lining fans are clinging to is that DEN's offense never reached the end zone against the reserves, which is either a damning indictment of B.Nix or a Week 18 mirage best left uninterpreted. Starters rest, playoff seeding holds, and nobody learned anything they wanted to know.
