Week 16 · 2025–26 season
Chiefs
L 9-26 at Titans · Dec 21, 2025
Misery Index · Despair
Chiefs fans openly admitting the roster was a Mahomes mirage, with Butker and Nagy next on the chopping block.
The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.
What happened
K.Hunt getting swallowed in the end zone for a safety set the tone, and C.Oladokun's day was the kind of audition that answers no questions in anyone's favor. By the time T.Kelce was pass-blocking in garbage time of a 17-point December loss, the argument had shifted from "what's wrong" to "how much of this was ever real without Mahomes." The roster looks exposed, and the coaching isn't covering for it.
