What happened

Four games, four losses, one goal in each — a team that found a single setting and refused to leave it. Tampa opened it 4-1 and the coaching staff was already "horseshit" by the first intermission of the week. Ottawa's 2-1 was the turning point, close enough to feel survivable, and the 5-1 in Boston erased that mercy entirely. Carolina's 4-1 closer drew the line fans had been circling: worst start in franchise history. The injury update, per one of them, was that "they're all fucking dead.
