What happened
A 2-5 loss at the Rangers opened the week with Tony DeAngelo cast as the villain, "actual hot trash," and the rest of the building filed under "I hate that organization with every fiber of my being." The 4-1 win over Chicago bought two days of calm, most of it credited to Sorokin, "the most locked in motherfucker on planet earth." Then Tampa, 3-5, the turning point, greeted beforehand as a "scheduled loss" and afterward with Ryan Pulock's name spat out. Misery climbed from 36 to 56 on one good night out of three.
