What happened
The road stayed kind: 4-1 in Los Angeles capped a trip where "the boys banked 6/6 possible points," and the fanbase shrugged that there was nothing to complain about. Then Utah visited and left with a 2-4 result soured by what one fan called "a gifted powerplay" while the home side "were getting punched in the fucking face all night." That grudge was the pivot. The 6-2 answer in Utah brought a McDavid five-point night, a Freddy uppercut, and thank-you notes to Buffalo for Levi.
