What happened
Two road wins, two nights of goaltending that didn't require an apology. The 5-2 in Anaheim loosened everyone up — one fan admitted to loving "seeing Skinner smiling under that Jets mask" — but the turn came in San Jose, where a 3-1 final and Jarry's "cool .950" had the fanbase saying the quiet part aloud: "Holy shit we may have a goalie." Misery fell from 44 to 14. Someone is already "winning the Stanley cup this season." It is October.
