What happened

Two shutouts to open the week flipped the mood entirely: 5-0 over San Jose, then 4-0 in Buffalo, and the board went from last week's wreckage to "82-0 here we come!" Someone noted Jamie Benn "actually looks like he gives a fuck" and Tyler Myers was "more than a pylon." The turn came in Pittsburgh, a 1-2 loss that drew a clipped "Thank you Seguin for salvaging a point from this embarrassment." Misery dropped from 91 to 19. The goalie chants started early, which is how these things usually begin.
