What happened

Two games into the season and the optimism was already in the ground. The opener against St. Louis ended 0-4, prompting one fan to note, "Remember 3 hours ago when we were excited for hockey to be back? I miss that." The next night in Nashville turned on a timeout Gulutzan never called with a gassed top line stranded on the ice, and the 1-2 loss followed. One fan with tickets Monday has "never been so unexcited to see them live." Hockey's back, apparently.
