What happened
The week opened with a 7-3 beating from Florida, and the verdict arrived immediately: "I just don't think this team is a good NHL team." Werenski drew the blame for one goal, accused of "playing like he doesn't want to be here." The turn came Saturday, a 1-0 win over the Rangers that bought roughly 24 hours of calm before a 2-1 loss in Minnesota, officials blamed, Fantilli robbed of a race. Columbus ends 1-2 and somehow sadder than before the win.
