What happened
Monday's 6-2 loss to Toronto did the usual damage, and the board responded in kind: "We are the worst pro franchise is sports," one fan offered, while another tallied "one regulation win in 9 games this season" as the ugly news. Then Saturday happened. A 2-1 win over Vegas turned the misery dial down without changing a single underlying complaint, chiefly "WHY. ARE. WE. RUNNING. AWAY. FROM. THE. PUCK." Two points, same roster fans called "tragically constructed." Relief here is just a slower kind of dread.
