Thursday went down easy: a 3-2 win over Pittsburgh, Fantilli winning faceoffs at a rate that made people type emoticons, and a top comment that was simply "FUCK THE PENGUINS!" Then Friday in St. Louis, a 5-3 loss where the turning point was a lead that evaporated — "Its not about losing, its about how we lost," one fan wrote, hair reportedly pulled. Another just wanted to know "why no one on CBJ can BURY THE PUCK." Misery doubled in 24 hours. Two games in, the thermostat is already broken.
