What happened
The week opened warm: a 6-3 win over Buffalo, Kniesy getting star billing, and a fanbase cheerfully declaring "Charlie Coyle you've changed my life." Off the ice, a long-running saga closed, met with "actually such a relief that this whole saga is over" and approving noises about Silly in the rotation. Then Utah arrived and the 1-4 loss exposed the thinner math — "fatigue penalties and 2.5 NHL Defensemen." Some still liked the pushback, loving "the energy they came out with in the 2nd." Identity is cheap in October; blue line depth isn't.
