What happened
Six games to save a season, and Texas went 2-4. The Mets took the first two, 6-3 and 7-2, before a 3-1 win briefly made math feel possible. Then Minnesota, 10-2, and the room went quiet: "Pathetic. Just no other words to describe this team right now." A 6-2 answer bought one more day; a 4-6 finish ended it at 80-82.
