What happened
The week opened with a 0-7 shutout in Los Angeles, a loss one fan swore he'd "seen this exact same loss to the dodgers since 2023." The turn came the next night, 5-1, with credit to David Morgan "for saving this fucking game man," and then 4-2 to finish the sweep. Arizona's 11-4 answer at Petco briefly reopened the wound, but 10-7 and 9-4 closed it at 91-71. Home field in the Wild Card clinched, one fan celebrated minutes after his daughter was born. Joy keeps finding strange delivery rooms.
