What happened
The week opened badly, 1-5 and 4-5 to Milwaukee, and the anger went straight past the roster to ownership. Then the finale against the Brewers, a 7-4 win, flipped everything: four straight after that, 8-5, 6-5 and 4-3 over Kansas City, and 79-77. Misery fell from 67 to 58, though nobody trusts it. Fans talked about Brandon Lowe leaving, about Nutting's $171 million, about manifestos to ticket reps. Most fun season in years, and they already know how it ends.
