What happened
A 7-0 opener against San Diego felt like a statement until the Padres took the next two, 1-5 and 2-4, and the board filled with grumbling about "Still haven't taken a series from a winning team in 2 fucking months." The turn came in San Francisco, where a 2-0 shutout reset everything: Sato's complete game drew "So fitting. I love LA," Skubal got the all-caps treatment, and 4-3 and 5-1 followed.
