What happened

Cleveland stole the opener 7-3 in Tampa, and the board went giddy: "Vogt sacrificed the live chicken for this offensive explosion." A 1-3 turf-blamed answer evened things, then a 3-2 win at home put Halpin's name in lights. The turn came in game four, a 7-3 loss the fanbase pinned on gloves — "both losses coming on the back of fielding issues is beyond frustrating" — followed by another 1-3. At 2-3, facing elimination, misery actually fell. Hope is the stubbornest thing in Ohio.
