A road win in College Station has Kentucky believing again, and quietly begging Alabama to look elsewhere.
The emotional rollercoaster
Kentucky fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
Kentucky walked into College Station and left with a 31-21 win, which is the sort of thing this fanbase has been trained not to trust. The turning point was less a play than a moment of collective nerve-holding — one fan refusing to exhale, insisting "this game is over acting like I haven't seen the shit I've seen." At 2-1, misery dropped from 57 to 28, and the loudest celebration arrived pre-wounded: "We want bama!(to stay as far away from us as possible)." Joy, held at arm's length.
