What happened
Tennessee entered the week at 3-1-adjacent optimism and left it with the 3-1 and none of the optimism, dropping a 20-17 decision to Texas at home. The turning point wasn't a single snap so much as the slow realization, somewhere in the second half, that Faizon was taking a beating and no one was arriving to help; by Sunday the consensus was that he'd be "iced up all week."
