A 29-point win, and the room still spent the night grading demeanor and cursing strength of schedule.
The emotional rollercoaster
Ohio State fans’ misery during the game, every 15 minutes. Up is worse.
What happened
A 45-16 win over Maryland moved Ohio State to 5-1, and the fanbase somehow felt worse leaving than arriving. The turning point wasn't on the scoreboard at all; it was the sideline body language, the slumped shoulders of a team that looked like it was serving a sentence. One fan fumed that "his demeanor made me mad. Like, dude, if you don't want to be here, quit." Another waved off the résumé talk entirely: "fuck strength of schedule, just win the goddamn games." Winning used to be the point.
