What happened
A road trip to Minneapolis was supposed to be the week's problem. Instead Mississippi State left Minnesota behind 38-13, moved to 2-0, and spent Saturday night watching a fanbase try to remember how optimism works. The turning point was the moment the game stopped feeling precarious and the comments shifted from bracing to bragging: "We're 2-0 in our last two games against B1G opponents. Someone has to carry the conference I guess." Elsewhere, cautious hope: "we might actually be a somewhat good team this year." Nobody has said it loudly yet.
