Commanders fans torn between raving about Styles and cursing a Bates two-point call in a one-score loss to Philly.

What happened

The J.Hurts scramble and the 43-yard strike to D.Goedert in the fourth flipped a game Washington had every chance to steal, and then the season came down to a two-point try to J.Bates — a target fans were already dreading before the ball was snapped. J.Daniels showed enough, the defense had its moments on Barkley, but losing a division opener on that particular call to that particular player is going to linger.
