What happened
A.Winfield's first-quarter pick of J.Brissett set the tone, and T.Smith's fumble recovery in the third papered over an offense that spent the afternoon getting outplayed by a 3-8 team. The win counts the same in the standings, but back-to-back incompletions to M.Wilson and X.Weaver inside a minute don't exactly inspire confidence about closing games against anyone with a pulse. A victory that somehow deepens the dread is its own kind of accomplishment.
