49ers fans are 4-0 and still squinting at the offense, torn between the Kittle 56-yard TD and the injury tally.
The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse. ● biggest swings
What happened
S.Neal's forced fumble and recovery on the M.Mims punt return flipped the field in the third quarter, and B.Purdy's 56-yard strike to G.Kittle in the fourth put it away — with T.Hufanga, of all people, giving chase. The 4-0 start is real, and the D.Samuel short touchdown earlier helped quiet the signing skeptics. Still, a blocked E.Pineiro field goal and another slow first half suggest the offense keeps waiting until after halftime to show up.
