What happened

The B.Purdy-to-M.Evans-to-D.Samuel 80-yard lateral touchdown will play on highlight reels for years, and Purdy's line keeps the MVP chatter alive at 3-0. But a S.Neal muffed punt handing ARI the ball at the SF 28, followed by a J.Brissett touchdown to Mi.Wilson, turned a manageable afternoon into a six-point escape. Winning while the defense and special teams leak this badly is a formula that eventually stops working — the question is when.
