What happened

The J.Sherwood fumble recovery at the NE 36 handed the Jets a live chance in the third, and G.Smith's 48-yard strike to O.Cooper looked like a pulse — then came the sack, the stalled short-yardage snaps, and a G.Smith interception by C.Woods aimed at K.Sadiq that effectively closed the door. Fans are no longer debating the playcalling in shotgun on fourth-and-short. They've just stopped expecting it to work.
