What happened
W.McDonald's blocked field goal and recovery at the 50 was the kind of miracle that's supposed to flip a season, a +0.423 swing that briefly made the Jets the story. Instead the defense gave B.Mayfield 1:36 to walk into C.McLaughlin range, capped by a 28-yard strike to E.Egbuka that made the 36-yarder a formality. Stealing a win that cruelly is a specific skill, and somehow this team keeps finding new ways to be on the wrong end of it.
