What happened

Down three with the ball at the SEA 21 and a chance to steal Week 1 on the road, D.Maye instead threw it deep into the end zone and straight to J.Jobe — a touchback, a loss, and a fanbase already questioning the decision-making that was supposed to be the whole point. The J.Smith-Njigba 45-yard touchdown off D.Lock cracked the door; D.Maye's final throw slammed it shut. Ten points at home to Seattle won't be the last uncomfortable number this year.
