Patriots fans toasting a 12-3 playoff clinch in Baltimore while side-eyeing the officiating that nearly cost them.
The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.
What happened
D.Maye's fourth quarter — the 37-yard strike to K.Williams, then the 21-yard dagger to S.Diggs that set up R.Stevenson's go-ahead touchdown — was the kind of stretch that rewrites how a quarterback gets talked about in this town. A playoff spot is clinched and the misery dial finally exhales. Still worth remembering: the offense spent three quarters making this harder than it needed to be, and a Q2 strip-sack nearly cost everything.
What fans said
“Legacy defining 4th quarter from Maye, with a Herculean assist from Diggs. Favorite win of the season for sure, even more pleasing than beating the Bills!”
