What happened
Detroit put this one away in the first quarter, with J.Goff finding J.Gibbs, A.St. Brown, and J.Williams in rhythm before Washington's defense could locate its cleats. A 44-point afternoon should feel cathartic, and yet the fanbase spent it stewing about the broadcast booth and a coordinator everyone's ready to move on from. The football was easy; sitting through the surrounding noise apparently wasn't. The concern now is whether anything short of February actually registers as joy.
