Week 5 · 2026–27 season
Broncos
W 23-17 at Chargers · Oct 11, 2026
Misery Index · Uneasy
Broncos fans celebrating a 23-17 win mostly by laughing at the 0-5 Chargers, because the offense sure didn't earn it.
The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the game window. Up is worse.
What happened
A Z.Allen strip-sack recovered by Q.Robinson at the LAC 23 flipped the game, and the B.Nix-to-C.Sutton touchdown minutes later finished what the defense started. Still, surviving a 42-yard K.Vidal house call and a B.Nix fumble to beat an 0-5 Chargers team by six doesn't exactly inspire. The defense carried this one; the question is how many more weeks it can keep bailing out an offense that only shows up when cornered.
