What happened

The M.Mims muffed punt in the third flipped the game before Denver could steady itself, and B.Purdy's 56-yard shovel-and-sprint to G.Kittle in the fourth made the deficit academic. J.Waddle's late touchdown from B.Nix was the kind of garbage-time scoring that papers over an offense that didn't show up until the lights were already off. The playcalling questions aren't going away, and neither is the feeling that a full game of competent football is somehow still too much to ask.
