What happened
Overtime came down to a single decision: M.Mariota's two-point try to J.McNichols falls incomplete after T.McLaurin had just punched in the tying score, and Denver walks out 27-26. The B.Nix-to-E.Engram 41-yard strike set up the winning points, but D.Samuel's 38-yard catch to the DEN 2 nearly buried this one. A win that required Washington to miss by inches isn't the kind that settles a fanbase down.
