What happened
K.Byard's interception at the CHI 5 with 2:23 left should have been the moment everything turned, and the C.Williams-to-C.Kmet two-point conversion earlier in the quarter had finally made it a one-score game worth winning. Instead the defense let J.Goff march right back, A.St. Brown caught a 26-yarder into field goal range, and J.Bates walked off with it at the gun. Three quarters of nothing on offense against Detroit will do that.
