What happened
C.Williams traded haymakers with Purdy all afternoon and still had a shot, hitting C.Loveland to the SF 13 with 33 seconds left before the incompletion to J.Walker on which L.Burden left injured. Forty-two points surrendered, including the J.Jennings 38-yard dagger, makes it hard to credit the shootout energy some fans are clinging to. The offense looked real; whether Dennis Allen's defense can ever hold a lead is the question that won't go away.
