What happened

Buffalo escapes 24-16, but the margin owes everything to C.Gardner-Johnson's goal-line interception of J.Herbert — a play that swung roughly 18 points of win probability and papered over an offense that coughed up a J.Allen pick to G.Smith, a Knox holding penalty that erased a 43-yard T.Johnson touchdown, and an Allen scramble fumble deep in Chargers territory. A win is a win, but three drive-killers against a real opponent is the kind of thing that lingers.
