The emotional rollercoaster
Fan misery across the week, every six hours. Up is worse. Dashed lines are games.
Game of the week: Tue, Sep 29, W 6-5 @ Edmonton Oilers
In-game fan misery, every 15 minutes.
What happened
Four games, two wins, and a fanbase that somehow enjoyed all of it. The turning point came early: Cotter's shift to win 6-5 in Edmonton, a man who "just put in a 40 hour work week in a single shift." Then a 9-7 loss to the same Oilers drew a standing ovation, because apparently that's who this crowd is now. A 4-1 win over Calgary featured Elias Pettersson "hitting like Elias Pettersson," and even the 3-2 Vegas loss landed softly. Losing has rarely felt this safe.
