What happened
Two wins out of three and the mood still soured. The Rangers took them 4-1 again, prompting the observation that "all of our games lost have been to these fucks," which is the kind of math nobody wanted done out loud. The turn came against Seattle, a 4-3 win built on a Hedman night good enough that one fan "cannot stop grinning ear to ear" and left "Hedman deniers in pure shambles." Then 4-2 over Vancouver, and still the Halpern firing talk. Winning has rarely felt so unresolved.
