What happened
Three wins, and the fanbase barely knew what to do with itself. The 4-1 over Philadelphia came with the usual complaint that "all my homies hate NHL Network." The turn arrived Thursday: 3-2 over Minnesota with Vasy out, and the relief of not needing seven goals to survive a night. Then 5-3 on Long Island, where "Pontus was a mad man" and officiating still got a Charlie-sized grievance. Contentment, for a Lightning crowd, is mostly the absence of something to dread.
